G.11Control publication, correction and post-publication use

Working Draft version 1.1

Purpose and scope

This unit covers the capability to control the authorised release of sustainability reporting information and its subsequent use. It includes final approval and release authority, authoritative files and data, filing and website publication, embargo and timing, version and language control, correction and restatement, notification, archive, link and download monitoring, reuse in investor, ratings, marketing and counterparty channels and retirement of superseded information.

Applied competency statement
Can control authorised publication, correction, archive and post-publication use of sustainability reporting information and maintain a traceable record of versions, notifications, downstream updates and superseded content.
Boundary and escalation
This unit controls reporting release and maintenance. D.8 owns finalisation and authorised handover; E.8 owns comparative and restatement analysis; A.8 and G.7 own claim supportability. Legal duties concerning filing, market announcement, correction, withdrawal, data protection, record retention and liability require qualified legal, listing, records and communications review.
Key quality risks
Publication from an unapproved file; metrics or footnotes changed after sign-off; incorrect report or data-book version uploaded; language editions not aligned; early release or breach of embargo; website, filing and download versions diverging; correction obligations not assessed promptly; silent replacement of published information; investors, ratings or marketing channels not updated after correction; obsolete claims remaining searchable; broken links; archived information not identifiable; and public claims about assurance, compliance or certification added outside the controlled approval process.
